Miryam Monasterios

Miryam Monasterios is an incredible woman. She is, in a word, delightful. She is a warm and devoted mother and wife, a beloved and trusted friend, and a brilliant glass artist.

Originally from Venezuela, Miryam Monasterios has been passionate about art her entire life. She studied ballet for 12 years and was a junior fencing champion. She has been designing, studying and creating glass art for 30 years.

As her body of work clearly demonstrates, Miryam is also a student of architecture.

Miryam is drawn to glass  because of the myriad of ways  light passes through and is refracted by glass. The play between the light and glass is  evocative of the sea which is another passion of the delightful Miryam Monasterios.

Be Open To Yes member, Miryam Monasterios, is a glass artist, and interior designer.

VERN ROLLIN III

Vern Rollin III was born in Key West, Florida. He grew up in Florida, California and Texas. His passion for art was apparent from his earliest years. Natural gifts and sensitivity to the world around him have played the largest role in his success as an artist. Vern Rollin III was born in Key West, Florida. He grew up in Florida, California and Texas. His passion for art was apparent from his earliest years. Natural gifts and sensitivity to the world around him have played the largest role in his success as an artist. While schooling and instruction from noteworthy artist expanded his knowledge of Art, Art History and technical information, Vern feels the greatest achievements are made when you create from inner feeling, emotion and respect for your vision, your gifts, and your craft.

Vern began his professional career as an artist in 1988, creating Abstract Paintings, original Landscapes and Mixed Media constructions. His work is a reflection of his love of nature, and his lifelong journey in pursuit of harmony and balance. Having traveled extensively, his work has been heavily influenced by his journey through life, the places he has seen and the people he has met along the way. Music plays a key role in driving the imagination that is the force behind his work.

A true visionary artist, Vern has won multiple awards as a Painter and Mixed Media artist. He believes that growth can only be achieved by continual change and a desire to constantly improve.

"I create each painting to be felt and enjoyed for a long time. My collectors honor me when they buy a piece of my work and knowing that they have chosen one of my paintings to become a part of their home, or business pushes me continually to grow as an artist and as a person. I have been a fine artist for thirty years. My work is a record o my journey and of my love and observation of the world close up. I learned to paint on the land itself by watching the play of sunlight through trees and across fields. Thousands of hours in nature, hiking, painting,, studying, and learning. have shaped me into the artist I am today. Painting is not my work. It is my life. It is my reason for being. I paint to reach beyond my life, to communicate in a way that is real and with no illusions. Sharing this is my passion and it it as necessary as breathing," Vern explains.

Vern currently lives and works in the quiet countryside of Poetry, Texas.

MILAN- MISO KOMARICA

Milan-Miso Komarica is a Dallas based photographer and artist, inspired by everyday landscape and surroundings.

Milan developed his artistic style by taking his photographic images and transferring them to 8" x 10" woodblocks. The woodblocks are treated with coatings that simulate aging with cracks and texture. Milan hand-touches each piece with paint creating all unique and original art pieces. In the end, Milan seals each woodblock with his logo on red wax as it was first used by royals in the Middle Ages.

Each block tells a story in the contemporary reference to the ancient look and feel. The woodblocks are usually done in a series of four, each image independent or divided into four. Most of the images are inspired by flowers, nature, or done at customer's requests.

Milan inherited his talents from his artistic family. Milan's grandfather (1910 - 2004) was one of the most famous Bosnian painters, recognizable in the realists and neo-impressionist styles of the time.

Milan is a treasure. We are proud to exhibit his work at the Ma Fille Art Gallery.
